Written into a variety of electronic subgenre instrumentals made by Restless Mosaic, Declaime’s poems are vulnerable, reflective, and optimistic as he writes around a central theme: navigating a world of chaos.

Recording Date: Instrumental tracks were recorded from April 2020 to April 2024 and originally released on Restless Mosaic albums between February 2021 and March 2025. Declaime wrote poems based on the feel of Restless Mosaic’s instrumentals. The poems typically have refrains, but since the tracks were written as instrumentals, the refrains do not have choruses to line up with, like conventional songs would.
Musicality was a chief concern in production, keeping Declaime’s performances rhythmically looser where the instrumentals were tight, and vice versa. In this way, the halves respond to each other while standing on their own.
Because the instrumentals were generally not written with an expectation of receiving vocals, the genres on this album are not usual for spoken word poetry. Witch house, IDM, hybrids of nortec/jungle and DJ Shadow/Neu!, and a beatless piano/flute/Mellotron waltz all make an appearance.
