Story

I produced these songs in descending order of the underlying song’s length. So this is the first one I did, because “Tiles on the Tiles” was over 5 minutes in in its original incarnation.

Declaime gave me one take of vocals for each track. The “mmhmm” was from the end of the take; I decided that was worth turning into a backing loop panned on either side of his main vocals.

I also like the sudden double panning of the “ahh” late in the song. I can’t produce actual hip-hop, of course, but I can at least put enough sonic detail in that maybe it’s worth listening to.
